After a long day, we arrived at the home of Dennis and Carole Anderson in
Ocean City, NJ. The Andersonsˇ¦ grandchildren had stayed awake to greet the "college
girls." After many giggles and expeditions on hands and knees through
the elaborate forts the kids had created, Carole sent the little ones to bed.
We took that as our cue to do the same.
Well-rested and with homemade, organic multigrain pancakes in our bellies,
the Hybrid Evolution tour arrived at the local arts festival in Bradley Beach.
Steve Knowlton and his team of volunteers had every detail coveredˇXfrom solar
panels to wind turbinesˇXthis crew was ready to educate the public about clean
energy and clean air. Lucky for us, three local volunteers brought their own
hybrids: two Priuses and a Honda Civic. Thanks, ladies!
And special thanks to Stan Greberis and Lud Lanko for their amazing car detail
skills! Looks as good as new!
We also stopped at the Sierra Clubˇ¦s North East Regional Conservation Committee
(NERCC) meeting to greet the delegates from around the NE region in Somerville,
NJ.
