Energy Efficiency (It's so easy, it's absurd)
Instead of building more polluting power plants to fuel our homes, run our appliances, and power factories, we can use existing technology to do the same things with less energy. Becoming energy-efficient is the easiest, cheapest and cleanest way to meet our energy needs. By slowing down the meter, we reduce pollution and avoid the need for new power plants.
Energy efficiency can be as simple as a computer that goes "to sleep" or a compact fluorescent light bulb that uses a quarter of the energy as a conventional bulb. It all adds up. Using existing technology to make air conditioners more energy efficient would avoid the need for over 200 power plants.
